Skywave TV broadcasts
services via satellite - AsiaSat-4 Ku-band (122.2°E).
TV services are allocated on 4 Ku-transponders, channelised
with 27MHz-bandwidth. The Ku-band downlink beam is right-hand
circular polarized (RHCP). All Services are scrambled
by means of Irdeto Access. The four downlink transponders
and reception parameter are listed below:

When turning
on the receiver (COSHIP CDVB-5110D), it will automatically
run auto-scan as the reception parameters are preset
in the memory. Other STBs with Irdeto embedded encryption
will also operate fine for Skywave TV but the reception
parameters have to be set by user.
A pizza-sized
dish antenna (35cm) is adequate within the satellite
coverage area. A circular LNBF (L.O. = 10.75GHz) will
provide the best quality service. A universal Ku-band
LNBF (L.O. = 10.6GHz) is still able to receive the satellite
signal but at lower quality, generally 3 to 4 dB variant
in SNRl. If a universial LNBF is used, a larger dish
(45cm - 60cm) is recommended to compensate for the LNB
loss.
Please key in the latitude and longtude of your location, and calculate the azimuth and elevation.
